as a bush pilot, airline pilot for Air Namibia and back to bush flying.

Patrick Schaubode based in Windhoek and Swakopmund. After gaining 5 years of experience as a charter pilot in tourism, I founded EAGLE WINGS SAFARIS NAMIBIA cc in 2002, to show you Namibia's rugged beauty from the air - on a high standard.

My career:

After matrik apprentice ship as flight-engine-mechanic at Deutsche Lufthansa in Germany, thereafter studying mechanical engineering in Hamburg.
Trained for the commercial pilot licence at Progress Flight Academy in South Africa.
Started working as a professional pilot in Swakopmund with fly-in-safaris and scenic flights.
Carried on as cargo pilot between Namibia and South Africa. Bush pilot in Gabon (cargo-, passenger-, ambulance- and government flights). Later started flying schedules for Air Namibia, before returning to bush flying with my own company EAGLE WINGS SAFARIS NAMIBIA cc.
